The Cannibal Circus Roadshow 2009 summer tour!

Ever since the legendary premiere of the New Jacobin Club/Angry Teeth partnership in the summer of 2008, the NJC's live show has grown increasingly bizarre. The fall "Final Entertainment Show" also featured the talents of Cookies & Cream burlesque duo and the technical visual wizardry of former NJC asociate Continuum Flux. While the band works on the upcoming concept album, a new show based on more interaction with the Angry Teeth is in the works for this summer. THE CANNIBAL CIRCUS ROADSHOW will feature some all new NASTY acts on stage as well as more of what everyone wants...fire tricks, stunts with machetes, syringes, bowling balls, a little S&M, and of course the secret climax of the show which you will just have to SEE to BELIEVE. All this fine performance art set to the music of the NJC's gothic rock opera "THIS TREASON" along with a few classic hits thrown in! Watch for concert dates in Western Canada in May & June 2009!

The Final Entertainment Show ep

As a final book-end to the "Wicked Tour" era of the New Jacobin Club, the Club members that contributed to the MASSIVELY succesful 2006 epic "Wicked City" got together in the summer to record a few cover songs that were a part of the live set since the 2006/2007 tour. These songs include Killing Joke's "Love Like Blood" (vocals delivered by The Horde), New Model Army's "The Hunt" and Nine Inch Nails' "Wish" (both with vocals by The Swarm), and an updated version of an old NJC standard "The Switch," a song first played live in 1999. This 4 song ep is limited to 300 copies and was used as a soundtrack companion to the adventurous November 2008 stage show of the same name.It is available EXCLUSIVELY from the NJC, for more info on how to get one, go to the NJC STORE page

Televised NJC Unplugged!

The NJC pre-recorded a performance and interview for Shaw Cable 10's "Stripped Down" program last summer. The show aired in October and will be periodically re-run in the furture. This unprecidented interview and performance is probably the MOST personally revealing documentation of the band ever done in the 13 years of its' existence. Topics touched on in conversation include the conceptual themes of the music, the NJC's effect on the local music scene after a decade, the struggles and dangers of being the band, and a fond public farewell to longtime drummer Eclipse (in doing so revealing his other succesful public identity!). If you missed it, watch for clips to be posted online soon!
